Peter Facinelli Talks About Women

In the September 2010 issue of Women’s Health, Peter Facinelli talks of women, the power of mystery and why it’s smart to leave men guessing ;)  We think it’s time he visits South Africa hey ladies?? :)

Peter Facinelli1 Peter Facinelli Talks About Women

You grew up with three sisters and are now married with three daughters. Have you figured out what makes women tick?

Women are very complex and I don’t know if men will ever figure them out. One thing that confuses me is that they always feel like you should know what they’re thinking. Men don’t work that way – we can’t read minds. So often women will be like, “You should have known that,” but you have to tell us. If you told us what to do, we would do it. However, I have nailed the answer to the question: “Do I look fat in these jeans?”

What’s the number-one mistake women make in relationships?

When women like men, they want to show them. But if they’re always in teh guy’s space – callin ghim all the time or “Hey, I just washed your car!” or “Hey, I just cleaned your flat!” – it can be smothering and the guy withdraws. You have to leave a man always wanting more.

What’s a woman’s most seductive asset?

Lips are sexy. They’re a tool for communication but also a tool for kissing. [They're] sexy both visually and intellectually.

You’ve said that your Eclipse co-star Robert Pattinson gets “crazy” fans. Any bizarre encounters for you?

I get the occassional fans who hyperventilate and can’t get thier words out. It makes me uncomfortable, because they’re so excited to meet me and I hope I live up to their expectations. People always come up to me and say, “Oh my God, you’re Carlisle – can you give this letter to Rob?” I’ve become the pony express to Rob Pattinson, but I’ve yet to get one letter from [him].  Maybe he’s hoarding them.

Why do you think women are so into vampires these days?

The hunger of wanting someone so much that you can taste them is very intimate, beautiful and romantic. It’s a metaphor [for sex].

Synopsis: Jackie Peyton is far from ordinary. As a veteran ER nurse, she navigates the rough waters of a crumbling healthcare system, doing everything she can to provide her patients with the best care possible. Whether she’s lighting into a smug doctor for failing to heed her advice, or forging the organ donor card of a man who just died, Nurse Jackie is compelled to make sense of the chaos and to level the playing field whenever she can. Right or wrong, it’s Jackie’s brand of justice made all the more manageable by a daily diet of prescription pain medication.

In the pilot episode, Jackie Peyton tries to make something good come from a senseless death at her under-funded Manhattan Emergency Room. Her day is complicated by the addition of first year nurse Zoey, frat-boy Dr. Cooper and a secret need for Adderall from her boyfriend Eddie Walzer, the pharmacist.

Starring: Edie Falco as Jackie Peyton, Peter Facinelli as Dr Fitch Cooper, Eve Best as Dr Eleanor o’ Hara, Merritt Wever as Zoey Barkow, Paul Schulze as Eddie Walzer, Dominic Fumusa as Kevin Peyton, Anna Deavere Smith as Gloria Akalitus, Stephen Wallem as Thor, Arjun Gupta as Sam

Salary Dispute Holding Up Breaking Dawn?

I don’t normally publish rumours and hearsay but I’m a little concerned about this article & the truth to it, and it might not be a rumour, seeing as they are taking so long to announce the details for the filming of Breaking Dawn.  However, I will say this that some of it does sound correct but I am not saying that the full article is correct.  The source, The Hollywood Reporter, is usually very reliable with its information.  So, here is the article as published by The Hollywood Reporter -

27863616 27863617 medium1 Salary Dispute Holding Up Breaking Dawn?EXCLUSIVE: Summit Entertainment is working furiously to close the talent deals required to split Stephenie Meyer‘s fourth “Twilight” novel into two films. But an unlikely roadblock is holding up an announcement — and could even lead to cast changes for the series’ final installment.

The studio is close to finalizing agreements with leads Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, all of whom will get big raises to return for a fifth installment of the vampire romance saga. And director Bill Condon is already signed to film two “Breaking Dawn” movies, which would be shot back-to-back starting in the fall and released in November 2011 and summer 2012, respectively.

But Summit is having a harder time locking in some of the franchise’s secondary characters. Deals for Peter Facinelli (who plays Carlisle Cullen) and Billy Burke (Bella’s father, Charlie Swan) are done, but we’re told the actors who play the Cullen kids (especially Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene) are trying to sink their teeth into bigger paydays that, at least at this point, the studio behind the billion-dollar franchise is unwilling to provide. “We may have a situation where one of them is thrown out on the street to make a point,” says a source close to the dealmaking.

So are we headed for a recasting on the final “Twilight”?

There is precedent for such a tactic. After the success of the first film, Summit axed Rachelle Lefevre, who played Victoria, in part because her reps played hardball on money. (Bryce Dallas Howard got the job instead.) Now, two films into the series, even the minor Twilighters (Lutz in particular) have become sought-after stars, so it makes sense they’d want to be paid more for the final film. But we’re told that the offers from Summit — which are said to be at least 10 times what the actors made on the first movie — were deemed “offensive” given the mega-money the franchise has generated.

Cullen Family Interview

The Los Angeles Times has put up a killer interview featuring Elizabeth Reaser, Peter Facinelli, Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed and Jackson Rathbone collectively making up the Cullen Family. It’s a great read and gives you a bit more insight into the characters as the actors see them.

gallery enlarged kellanlutz shirtless photos 05212009 01 150x150 Cullen Family Interview“The guys are going to bring their girlfriends to this one, mark my words,” said Kellan Lutz, who plays Emmett Cullen. “There’s a lot of fighting, a lot of cool stunts. It’s a little darker. The stuff I’ve seen so far is amazing. Amazing. The music is great. Everything is just really captivating. I’m excited to see it, and I’m excited for the fans to see it. The stunts are so cool. It was a bit weird, like for the main battle scene where the newborns come in. I mean, we’re looking at these cardboard cutouts as we’re acting, as we’re supposed to be head-butting creatures. So to see it live on the screen is so cool. And running on the treadmills to do the chase scene was awesome. We were being pulled by a truck going really fast to make it seem like we were running at vampiric speed. To see it on screen, it looks epic.”

And to keep our male fans interested, here’s an excerpt from Ashley Greene

0002rs3e 150x150 Cullen Family Interview“Yeah, she’s delicate and prissy at times, but Alice gets a little edgier with each installment. And with these vampires messing with her family and the people she loves, you’re going to see a bit of her toughness. It’s a reminder to the audience that even though we restrain ourselves at times, we’re still vampires and we’re dangerous. You’re going to see the dark, dangerous side of Alice.”
