Jacob Brings Bella Home – New Eclipse Clip

In this exclusive Eclipse clip from Access Hollywood Bella (Kristen Stewart), meets Leah Clearwater (Julia Jones), and hangs out with the rest of the Wolfpack. Following the clip, Taylor Lautner discusses the lineage of the Wolfpack.

Upcoming film “Eclipse” may feature some of “The Twilight Saga’s” biggest action scenes yet, but the movie also features some comedy – courtesy of the wolf pack.

“I’m glad you’re here, Bella,” pack member Embry (Kiowa Gordon) says in a new clip from the film exclusive to Access Hollywood. “Now we can get a break from Jake’s obsessive inner monologue!”

Jacob’s (Taylor Lautner) fellow wolves go on to poke fun at his relationship with Bella (Kristen Stewart), which – as Twi-hards know – comes to a head as he faces off with Edward for her heart in “Eclipse.”

But the joking around soon turns serious as “Twilight Saga” newcomer, lone lady wolf Leah Clearwater (Julia Jones), walks into the scene – and tells Bella off.

Vanity Fair Gets To Know Vampires & A Werewolf

The August issue of VanityFair will have an interview with some of the lady Vampires & Werewolf from Eclipse.

For the August issue of Vanity Fair, Norman Jean Roy photographed the spooky beauties of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse—five vampires (Dakota Fanning, Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene, Elizabeth Reaser, Bryce Dallas Howard) and one lone lady werewolf (Julia Jones). Nancy Jo Sales was on set, where, between takes, the girls mused on the gothic romance that has everyone palpitating.

Nikki Reed plays the disapproving Rosalie Cullen. Here’s her take on the story’s appeal: “Bella and Edward’s love is very taboo and forbidden,” says Reed, “and I think that kind of represents all youthful relationships, because that’s what all first loves feel like. … It’s sort of borderline, like, insane.”

Elizabeth Reaser, who plays vampire mom Esme, exclaims on the attractive young men of Twilight: “Oh, it gets so old, you have no idea,” says Reaser. “It has no effect on me. They’re all gorgeous and lovely boys. … You just want someone interesting and weird at a certain point. I have a massive crush on Larry David.”

Bryce Dallas Howard, a replacement actress playing vampire-with-a-vengeance Victoria, is a Twihard: “I had seen Twilight innumerable times. After I saw it for the fourth time, one of my best guy friends, for my birthday, made me Post-it notes with Robert Pattinson’s face that said, ‘Live Dangerously,’ because I was so obsessed. My husband actually said to me, ‘Do I need to be worried about this?’”

Ashley Greene, who plays psychic vampire Alice, anticipates success: “You don’t have to be psychic to know how this movie’s going to do,” she says. “Obviously, it’s going to be a hit.”

Meet Eclipse’s Wolfpack Stars

InStyle Magazine has an article introducing us to some of the stars of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse‘s Wolfpack.  Here they talk to Alex Meraz, Tinsel Korey, Chaske Spencer & Julia Jones.

“It feels like family.” – According to Alex Meraz, a 25-year-old who appears in the upcoming third installment of the blockbuster Twilight series, the actors who play the so-called “Wolf Pack”—a group of American Indian shape-shifters—became as close as their characters almost as soon as they arrived on set. “We really rely on each other for support,” he said. “It feels like family.” His co-stars Tinsel Korey, 30, Chaske Spencer, 35, and Julia Jones, 29, agreed: “I felt, kind of instantly, like we had so much in common,” Jones said. Being in an intensely-hyped Twilight flick, she explained, “is a really specific kind of experience. We all feel we’re in the same boat.”

“She’s the caretaker.” –  Brooklyn-based Spencer admitted that he auditioned for “pretty much all of the [Quileute] roles” before finally being cast as pack leader Sam. “I looked in the book, and saw how big a part it was, and was like, ‘I’ll take it,’” he said. Korey’s character, Emily, is Sam’s fiancée: A Makah Indian, she’s actually not able to transition into a wolf. “She’s sort of the caretaker,” Korey noted, before adding that she doesn’t feel she missed out as a result of playing the only non-magical member of the pack. “I don’t feel any different from them. The wolf scenes are all CGI anyway!”

“This is you. This is your role.” - The Eclipse casting directors weren’t the first to think Jones, a part-time model and Columbia graduate, was perfect for the part of Leah, the only female wolf. “One of my closest friends read the books before the first movie came out,” she reported, “and she always said, ‘This is going to be you. This is your role.’” Nevertheless, Jones admits to some trepidation about taking on Twilight. “Everybody has an idea of who the character is in their mind, and there’s no way I’m going to be that person for everyone,” she explained. “I just have to hope that the way I bring Leah to life wins people over.”

“I was bagging groceries.”Acting wasn’t Meraz’s first ambition: At eighteen, he left his home in Mesa, Arizona to join the circus. “Literally,” he insisted. “I was a dancer, and I wanted to train to be in Cirque de Soleil.” Things didn’t exactly go according to plan. “I moved to San Francisco, thinking that I would take the city by storm; cut to two weeks later, and I’m bagging groceries at Whole Foods.” Luckily, it wasn’t long before a chance meeting with an older actor who ultimately became his mentor led to a small role in Terrence Malick’s The New World. InEclipse he plays Paul, a friend of Taylor Lautner’s Jacob. “On New Moon, we could hang out—go to dinner, go to the gym. But by the time we shot this movie, we had to do all this secret text messaging, and meet at abandoned restaurants. It was pretty bizarre, but I’m proud of him.”

“A new Native America.”Spencer said he’s played his share of historical American Indian characters—what he half-jokingly called “the leather and feather” parts. “What’s cool about New Moon,” he explained, “is that we’re in a contemporary setting.” Korey agreed: “I think it’s important for people to know that there is a Native American community that’s very vibrant, and very now. We’re sort of like a new Native America.”

“Twilight’s a star-maker.” - All four of the actors reported that getting cast in a Twilight flick has already had a transformative effect on their careers: Alex Meraz recently nabbed a starring role in the new film from Kids auteur Larry Clark, and Julia Jones’s next movie is the big-budget video game adaptation Jonah Hex. “It’s a star-maker,” Spencer said of the series. “It’s definitely opened a lot of doors.”

Eclipse Behind the Scenes Screencaps

Yesterday we posted the ‘Eclipse‘ behind the scenes video (click here if you have not seen it). Well here are some screencaps from the video of Eclipse.  We finally get to see some more characters like Bryce as Victoria, Xavier as Riley and Julia as Leah.  I love the way Rosalie looks – I think they have finally gotten it right.  And I’m still not crazy about Jasper’s hair, but it looks much better than in Twilight.  :) What do you think?
