In New Moon a whole new range of characters are introduced to us as the story involves more werewolves and the darker side (imho) of the vampires. It’s always interesting to hear what the people who play the characters have to say.
2 interviews that I found interesting were the Twilight Lexicon interview with Charlie Bewley, and the Modern Dog Magazine interview with Rachelle Lefevre.
Charlie had this to say when asked about how he tackled getting into the character of Demetri
Demetri is a lethal killer with a pretense of charm. Actually, pretense is a little harsh – he genuinely is a Casanova of life, and this might be his biggest weapon.
Felix and Demetri both carry huge threats in our individual powers: Felix is the enforcer; Demetri is the cat to the mouse… thrill of the chase, yada. But it’s when you know you are the best, unrivaled for so long… complacent, almost arrogantly threatening becomes you; so couple that with centuries of acquired knowledge and experience… that’s a whole other level of danger.
He also doesn’t roller blade much, which is a random fact for you
Rachelle, on the other hand, will be making a return to the screen after her role in Twilight. She played the part quite well and judging by her attitude at the end of the first film, we can be sure to see a ravenous, revenge crazed vixen in New Moon. The interview didn’t have as much to do with New Moon as it did her dog, but still, she did give some exciting answers that make me even more excited for the November release date
When asked about a letter she sent to Catherine Hardwicke before being cast, she had this to say
The first part of the letter was how much I loved the books. I read Twilight right before my audition, and I read New Moon shortly after. So it was about why my desire to be a part of it was genuine. The second part was how Catherine had been on my wish list of directors since Thirteen and Lords of Dogtown. And lastly, it was about the character. The truth is, [Victoria] was who I felt connected to. Stephanie describes her as always on the balls of her feet, like she could pounce at any moment. She just seemed to be free and instinctive and I was attracted to that.
Going with the theme of learning about the cast, Examiner.com has put together a comprehensive list of where you can find your favorite Twilight star acting before they played a part in the movie. Here’s the list in full, but be sure to check out the videos.
