Oscar’s ‘IT’ Girl

Pop Sugar share with us who they think the ‘IT’ girl will be at this years Oscars Awards. They have mentioned Anna Kendrick (Up In The Air), Zoe Saldana (Avatar) and Gabourey Sidibe (Precious). While Zoe has not actually been nominated for an Oscar both Anna and Gabourey have been and based on all the recent awards shows, I tend to agree that Gobourey will walk away with the Oscar for her Category-I haven’t seen the film but she has been cleaning up award-wise, and I don’t see why she won’t be adding an Oscar to her new ‘collection’ ;) The same can be said for her co-star Mo’Nique who is in the same category as Anna :(

Kristen And Dakota on The Runaways OST

Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning will be singing and recording tracks to go on to the Movie’s soundtrack! The two are also singing songs in the film and so you will be able to hear them before possibly buying the soundtrack :) The Runaways will be in SA theatres on June 18th.

Remember me interview

Robert Pattinson and Emile de Ravin Co-Star in the Romantic Drama Remember Me, if you are a Rob Fan you should watch this, he is very funny here and they touch on the ‘intimate’ scenes in the film and it makes for a good laugh. Rob also gives his brief opinion on Breaking Dawn, should it be in 3-D and 1 or 2 movies :)

Remember me will be in Theatres March 12 and The Eclipse Trailer will play before the film :D YAY!!

New Moon Deleted Scene

Here is one of the deleted scenes you can find in the Bonus Material on the New Moon DVD that will be released this March, this scene is thanks to Target and shows us where the motorbikes came from. Even though it didn’t make it into the film it is nice to see that they did make an effort to follow the book more precisely than it seemed and this must have got cut in post production. Oh well, check it out for yourself :)

The Cullen House: For Sale

The house that was used as the Cullen home is up for sale in West Vancouver, it is a five bedroom, four bathroom home and some of the most famous Twilight cast ‘lived’ and filmed in it for New Moon. The house originally went on the market at $3.298 Million but has recently had its sale price cut (shocker?!) down to a whopping $2.998 Million. Unless you have a psychic sister out there who can predict the stock market trends, this house may just stay on the market for a lot longer…

Here are some pictures of the house (although you have already seen it if you saw New Moon) -It is an exquisite home but well overpriced if you ask me :( Click here to see more pictures :)

The Runaways SA Release

Oh wow, I am really looking forward to this film and the closer it gets the more nervous I was getting that it wouldn’t be released in SA :( It is scheduled for release on March 19th in the USA and I just received confirmation from Nu Metro that the Runaways will be released locally on June 18th!!

The Runaways (Neon Angels) is based on lead-singer Cherie Currie’s book ‘Neon Angel’ – a reflection of her experiences as a rock star, but also delivering a strong anti-drug warning to teens and others. David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” serves as a metaphor for the narrative– a slow countdown, a surreal but spectacular rise to fame, then alienation and burnout – a long long way from home.

The movie chronicles THE RUNAWAYS from 1975 – 1977; formed by teenage girls living near Hollywood, CA., and heavily manipulated by their manager Kim Fowley as ‘jailbait rock’ (all the girls were 16 or younger when the band recorded their first album). The band ultimately succeeds on their own merits as musicians, becoming the first all-girl rock-band to ever break into the world of arena-filling hard rock acts.

Which New Moon DVD To Get?

There is little doubt that most of us will be buying a New Moon DVD or Blu Ray and in an attempt to stand out to consumers, retailers are making this choice a very difficult one… There is the single disc DVD, the  2-disc special edition, and the Blu Ray available for pre-order at the moment but in the States it seems the release is being taken very seriously and different stores are selling branded DVD’s with some very tempting special features. Kimmy at HisGoldenEyes made this very thoughtful video explaining the different types of DVD’s out there -check it out and let me know where you plan on buying your copy of New Moon. Feeling extra sad today that we don’t have a walmart :(
