Breaking Dawn Will Be 2 Movies

zz516ec933 550x181 300x98 Breaking Dawn Will Be 2 Movies

Nikki Finke, a showbiz journalist, has confirmed to Splashfilm.com, that Breaking Dawn, the final book (for now) in the Twilight Saga, will be made into 2 movies.  :) Back to back filming will begin in October 2010. Melissa Rosenberg, screenwriter for the first three Twilight Saga films, has already begun work on the Breaking Dawn adaptation.

It is a smart move for Summit to act quick on the remaining chapters of the Twilight series as the stars are getting older and who knows how long this insane fan craziness will last, really. Also, using the same crew for two films shot together will save on a lot of costs. Deadline says that Summit is looking at “high-end” directors for the conclusion of the Twilight Saga. I really can’t imagine any huge name filmmakers aligned with this series, but I also never imagined David Slade or Chris Weitz would ever be involved. David Slade’s The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is already in the can and awaiting release in June 2010

Are you as excited about this news as I am?? :D

Howard Shore to Score Twilight Saga: Eclipse

eclipse movie poster Howard Shore to Score Twilight Saga: Eclipse

MovieScoreMagazine has confirmed that Howard Shore is on board to compose the score for the upcoming Twilight Saga: Eclipse movie, directed by David Slade.  Howard Shore takes over from Alexandre Desplat who did the score for New Moon and Carter Burwell who did the score for Twilight.

Temple Hill Entertainment today confirmed to MovieScore Magazine that the Lord of the Rings composer is going to write the music for the film.  Shore has begun work, spotting the movie, this week.

Howard Shore is, of course, best known for the Tolkien trilogy, directed by Peter Jackson, an epic work that is currently touring the world in concert form, performed live to projection. Shore also recently rescored the Mel Gibson action thriller Edge of Darkness for Warner Bros, replacing John Corigliano. This film is opening in the US next week.

Howard Shore is a three time Oscar winning composer who has created scores for The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Aviator and The Departed. He also worked extensively on David Cronenberg’s movies such as Silence of the Lambs, The Cell and Seven.

On another note, we heard earlier this week that New Moon composer, Alexandre Desplat, will be working his musical magic on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I. :)

Stephenie Meyer on Breaking Dawn

Here are some old video interviews with Twilight Saga Author Stephenie Meyer, sorry if you have seen them but I assume many of you fell in love with the Twilight Saga after the release of the first film and if that is the case then these should be pretty new to you ;) as they were for me :( Stephenie speaks about Breaking Dawn and sheds light on the direction the book took and why she did what she did with BD. The video’s are from August 2008, which (and I stand to be corrected) was before Twilight was made into a motion picture ;) so she is very honest and they stay nicely on point. They are definitely worth a watch if you get the chance :)

Robert Pattinson Sexes Up in New Film

07 200x300 Robert Pattinson Sexes Up in New Film

For those of you who have noticed the RPattz drought at the moment – he will make it up in Bel Ami.  OK! Magazine reports that Robert Pattinson will be having a few sex scenes in his upcoming movie Bel Ami, with shooting to begin next month.

TWILIGHT hunk ROBERT PATTINSON is set to test his sex symbol status in upcoming movie BEL AMI – his character enjoys racy romps with CHRISTINA RICCI, UMA THURMAN and KRISTIN SCOTT-THOMAS.

U.S. publication Life & Style has obtained a copy of the script, which leaves little to the imagination.

Pattinson, who plays journalist Georges Duroy in the film, climbs the social ladder by sleeping with a series of prominent women.

One of his sex encounters is a fiery romp with Ricci, another is a quickie with Thurman’s Madeleine, while Brit Scott Thomas’ romp in the film is described by the publication as “rough and ravenous”.

The movie hunk’s character also has sex up against a door with a prostitute.

So ladies, get ready to see Rob as we’ve never seen him before… well unless you’ve seen Little Ashes ;)

A Note From Stephenie…

With Twilight and New Moon great successes and Eclipse in post production and scheduled for release in June of this year, the thought on every twi-mind is Breaking Dawn. There has been some controversy over whether or not it would be made into a film and now that it is, there seems to be some confusion as to what exactly this means. Everyone seems to have a different take on the movie, especially with regard to the number of films the book should warrant. Twilight Saga author,Stephenie Meyer, posted this on her website to try bring about some calm :)

Don’t you worry folks, I’m sure it is all in good hands ;) stephenie meyer2 A Note From Stephenie...

Just a quick note on the subject of the Breaking Dawn film: there is no drama over whether the book should be one movie or two. My personal feeling is that it would be very difficult to cram the whole story into one movie (as I’ve said in many interviews previous to this), but if a great way of doing that surfaces, I’m all for it. Two or one, whichever way fits the story best is fine by me, and everyone I’ve spoken with at Summit seems to feel the same way. We’re all excited to move forward on this, and we are slowly and surely getting there. I know people are anxious for news, and so sometimes gossip gets fabricated to stir things up, but there’s no basis to this particular story.
