New Moon Soundtrack

Good news for to start your weekend – Stephenie Meyer has updated her website regarding the New Moon Soundtrack.  Here is what it says -

I just received the following announcement from Atlantic Records (the record label that produced the Twilight Soundtrack):

The first single has officially been confirmed for the New Moon Soundtrack! Death Cab for Cutie has written an exclusive song for the movie entitled ‘Meet Me On the Equinox.’ Below is a statement from the band about the song:

“We are very excited to be a part of this amazing series of novels set in our own backyard. It just seemed a perfect synergy that a band from the Northwest would create a song for a series of novels set in the Northwest. We wrote ‘Meet Me On the Equinox’ to reflect the celestial themes and motifs that run throughout the Twilight series and we wanted to capture that desperate feeling of endings and beginnings that so strongly affect the main characters. This song marks the first attempt that Death Cab for Cutie has ever made at contributing new, unreleased material for a film and we are proud to be a part of the Twilight legacy.” — Nick Harmer / Death Cab for Cutie.

Additionally, we have the exclusive premiere of the soundtrack album cover below! The soundtrack will be in stores on October 20th, 2009, stay tuned for more information!

So I’m not sure if it will be out here in South Africa by 20th October, but will definitely search and let you know.  :)

The Vampire Diaries

In true Twilight Style there is another Vampire story lurking on the horizon: The Vampire Diaries is a new show coming to CW, it is based on the book series by the same name. The plot revolves around Elena Gilbert, a young heroine who is the object of passion for two vampire brothers—one good, one evil—who are at war for her soul and for the souls of her friends, family and all the residents of the small town of Mystic Falls, Virginia.

The show premieres on Thursday September 10th and stars Nina Dobrev as Elena; Paul Wesley plays Stefan Salvatore and Ian Somerhalder will play Damon Salvatore.

For a full list of characters and differences in the books and series check out Wikipedia :)

The show looks a bit like a mixture between Twilight and HBO’s True Blood but it definitely looks interesting and I for one can’t wait for its release :)

Dustin Milligan Talks Twilight…

90210′s Dustin Milligan, who played Ethan Ward in Season 1, talks to access Hollywood about Twilight, Kristen Stewart and auditioning for the role of Edward Cullen. He acted alongside Stewart In The Land Of women and The Messengers.

The Evolution of Kristen Stewart

The Hollywood Crush section of MTV has a new feature on Kristen Stewart. Kristen has been working her way up to become one of Hollywood’s hottest young stars, and the article features a photo album so you can watch her grow up before your eyes.

Before anyone had ever heard of “Twilight,” Kristen Stewart was o ne of the hottest young stars coming out of Hollywood. Her first major appearance was at age 11 starring opposite Jodie Foster in “Panic Room.” After Panic Room, Kristen made appearances as Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stones daughter in “Cold Creek Manor” and starred as the main child spy in “Catch That Kid.”

Despite her earlier mainstream fare, it was with 2004′s Sundance Film Festival entry “Speak” that she started making a turn toward the more serious art films she prefers. And, it was then that she also met longtime (ex?) boyfriend Michael Angarano. She continued taking roles in smaller films like “Fierce People,” “In The Land Of Women” and “Cake Eaters.” She also had a minor but notable part opposite Emile Hirsch in the somber 2007 drama “Into The Wild.”

Beyond critical acclaim, Kristen continued getting public attention with roles in “Zathura: A Space Adventure,” “The Messengers” and “Jumper”, but it wasn’t until it was announced she would be playing the role of Bella in Catherine Hardwicke’s “Twilight” adaptation that she earned herself worldwide fame … for better or worse. Since the film’s release, her life has been closely scrutinized by the public and she has been consistently romantically linked to costar Robert Pattinson.

Still, Kristen looks at her experience thus far with “Twilight” in a positive light. “It’s made it easier to do things that I really like, things that like an independent movie that nobody would normally see, she said in an interview promoting the DVD release of her most recent film, “Adventureland.”

Kristen is sure to continue to be a giant piece of the pop culture orbit with the next three “Twilight” films, starting with November’s “New Moon.” Even with such a popular story keeping her in the public eye, she still has not stopped making the types of edgy films she loves. Next, she’s starring as a troubled stripper in “Welcome To The Rileys” and then as rocker Joan Jett in 2010′s “The Runaways.” “Now,” she says of how her fans react to her movie choices, “it’s like, ‘Oh lets go see Bella in this stripper movie; it’ll be crazy!’” she joked, showing that despite her public image, she doesn’t take her fame too seriously.

Edi Gathegi

Saw this on Twilight Guide and had to share it, the interviewer is embarrassingly clueless but Edi gathegi is just too funny in this video. Somehow in 3minutes he manages to pretty much not reveal anything about New Moon now that he has seen the finished product, but it is quite amusing :)
